About Bible Blitz with Bing

Would you like a deeper and clearer understanding of the Bible? How and when the different books of the Bible were written? How the different books relate to human history and religious history? Who decided what would be included? How do these many different books relate to each other? How do we understand the Bible through a Wesleyan perspective in the 21stcentury? What are the themes and emphases of each book?

This fall Grace Community is offering the opportunity to take a college-level study that gives an overview of the entire collection of Biblical literature. Bing (David Bingham), lay pastor for recovery ministry at St Luke's UMC and seminary graduate will teach a twelve-week course running Sunday, Sept 8 - Sunday, November 24. Registrants can prepay $100 for all 12 classes or $10 per class.  Couples can pay one registration fee. There are no writing assignments, just loads of information shared in an exciting way.

Bing is a graduate of Iliff School of Theology, having also studied at Vanderbilt and Duke Universities. Some of his professors included great biblical scholars including Ed Everding, Michael Efird, Roland Murphy, and Walter Harrelson. Bing has taught Biblical studies classes in Colorado, Montana, North Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Louisiana and Bonn, West Germany.

You will love his knowledge and enthusiasm for scripture!
